BOOK EXHIBITION IN CONNECTION WITH REPUBLIC DAY CELBRATIONS

                                                        Book exhibition going on in Vidyalaya PTA Hall by Scholastic Publishers from 23rd Jan to 26th Jan 2017.

Release of FLAIR Vol.5

Reader's Club released the fifth volume of the handwritten magazine FLAIR,today in morning assembly. Principal Dr. S.Nalayini released the magazine and handed over to Mrs. Susamma Mathew, PGT English.

BEST READER AWARDS

The Best Reader awards for the year were distributed on 15th December 2016 and books were presented to them by Principal Dr.S.Nalayini.
             

Observation of International Aids Day

          Vidyalaya observed International Aids Day on Dec.1st, Thursday with special programmes of children in morning assembly as well as interactive sessions with Dr. Ramesh Babu, Senior Gynaecologist, Taluk Hospital , Ottapalam.

Discussions on books written by Louisa May Alcott by Class IX to XI and introducing books to Class VI to VIII.

Talk about Importance of Reading

              Vidyalaya library organised a talk about the importance of reading in the morning assembly. Sri. P. N. Suresh, Rtd Sanskrit Teacher, a poet and social worker was the speaker. The speech was very interesting and motivating.
               Kumari Anagha of Class X proposed the vote of thanks and Sri. P.M.Sivadasan, Work Education Teacher handed over a flowering plant as a token for the love and respect towards the guest .

                          Conducted competition for Class VII as part of National Library Week Celebrations in Vidyalaya library.

Club Activity

                                          Reader's Club conducted presentation of book reviews in order to motivate the students to read some best titles.The activity was done classwise choosing minimum two students from classes VI to X.

Book-talk on "TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD"

                             As part of National Library Week Celebrations book review was presented by Smt. Sheeba S Babu, TGT English on famous author Harper Lee's Book TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD". The narration was so informative and interesting and students as well as teachers motivated to read that book.

                  As part of National Library Celebrations Competition for Class 8 conducted in Vidyalaya library. Students sketched their favourite stories attractively.

NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK CELEBRATIONS

            Vidyalaya library organised one week programme comprising different activities and competitions in view of National Library Week Celebrations.

                  Principal Madam informed the children about the importance of participating in the competitions.

BOOK EXHIBITION BY GREEN BOOKS, PALAKKAD

                                   Vidyalaya library organised book fair from 31st Oct. to 2nd November 201 Principal Dr.S. Nalayini and students from Class 5 A inaugurated the exhibition in the Vidyalaya PTA Hall.

  Career Guidance cell with Vidyalaya library organised a Career Guidance Class for 12th class Commerce students on 23rd October 2016.

Book Review Writing - Readers Club Activity for the week

Club activity of this week conducted in library . The students presented their book reviews by writing and the best ones are selected for Vidyalaya Pathrika and Club Magazine.

Smt. Susamma Madam, Co-ordinator of Club interacted with the students and given some tips on good reading habits and also on book selection.

Clean Library Programme as part of Swachhatha Week Celebrations

Vidyalaya library conducted cleaning programme with the help of students on 30th September Friday as part of Swachhtha Week.
