Hillary Mary Mantel is an English Novelist, short story writer, essayist and critic. Her work ranging in subject from personal memoir to historical fiction has been shortlisted for major literacy awards. She was born in Glossop Derbyshire.in July 1952.She studied law at the London School of Economics and Sheffield University. This author of 12 books lived in Votswana for 5 years and Saudi Arabia for 4 years before returning to London in 1980s. Her first published Novel"Every day is Mother's Day" arrived in 1985.In 2003 Mantel published giving up the ghosta memoir in which she wrote about her early childhood.
